Major Events

Brij & Co designs and builds exhibition stands for Australia's major trade and consumer shows. This page lists the events we build for most, with the next dates and venues, and links to a page for each one that covers what that show's exhibitors actually need: venue rules, build windows, stand formats and how long to allow.

Why each event gets its own page

A stand that works at Fine Food Australia would be wrong for AIME. Fine Food visitors walk the aisles tasting product, so the stand needs a working counter, sinks and cold storage. AIME runs on pre-booked hosted buyer meetings, so the same floor space is better spent on meeting tables and quiet. Security Expo visitors want to touch hardware. Good Food & Wine visitors are the public, buying on the day.

The venues differ too. ICC Sydney, MCEC and BCEC each have their own height limits, rigging rules and approval forms, and each organiser sets its own deadlines for stand plans. The event pages below collect what we know about each show so you can plan the stand around how that event really works.

How we work on a major event

  1. Brief and floor plan. Send us the stand number, size and open sides from your booking. We check the organiser's manual for height limits and plan deadlines before we design anything.
  2. 3D design. You get a rendered concept and a quote. We revise until it is right, then lock the drawings for submission to the organiser.
  3. Approvals. We prepare and lodge the stand plans, engineering and rigging requests the organiser and venue ask for.
  4. Build and pre-assembly. The stand is built in our Ingleburn workshop and stood up in full before it leaves, so problems are found in Sydney rather than on bump-in day.
  5. Bump-in, show and bump-out. Our crew installs within the build window, stays on call during the show and removes everything at close. Reusable parts are stored for your next event.

Exhibition stands, trade show booths and displays for every format

Whether you call it an exhibition stand, a trade show booth or an expo stand, the job is the same: a branded space that gets the right visitors to stop, and gives your team somewhere to turn that interest into a lead. As exhibition stand builders and contractors we cover the whole range, so you can choose the format that suits the event rather than the one a supplier happens to sell.

What exhibition stands cost at major events

Budgets depend on stand size, how custom the build is, and freight to the venue. These ranges come from our exhibition stand cost guide and are for the stand itself, not the floor space you book from the organiser.

StandTypical range
Pop-up display system for a 3m x 3m space$2,500 to $5,000
Hire stand, 3m x 3m, per event$1,500 to $3,000
Custom 3m x 3m stand$5,000 to $15,000
Custom 3m x 6m inline stand$10,000 to $25,000
Custom island stand, 6m x 6m and largerFrom about $25,000, and $80,000 plus for 9m x 9m
Double-decker standFrom $45,000 to $60,000 for 6m x 6m, up to $120,000 plus

Interstate freight, venue power and rigging orders are extra and vary by show. We itemise them in the quote so you can compare like with like.

Exhibiting at a major event?

Frequently Asked Questions

How early should I book a stand builder for a major event?

For a custom stand, allow 8 to 12 weeks from brief to event, and 12 to 16 weeks for a double-decker or large island stand. Organisers usually want stand plans 4 to 8 weeks before the show, so the design has to be finished well before that.

Do you build interstate?

Yes. Stands are built in our Ingleburn workshop in Sydney, and we have production facilities in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth for events in those cities.

Can you build for an event that is not on this list?

Yes. This page lists the shows we are asked about most. We build for trade shows, conferences and consumer events at any venue in Australia.

Can one stand be reused across several of these events?

Often, yes. A modular or hybrid stand can be reconfigured for different stand sizes. That suits companies that exhibit at more than one show a year, such as AMW and APPEX.

What is the difference between an exhibition stand and a trade show booth?

Nothing in practice. Exhibition stand is the usual term in Australia and the UK, and trade show booth is more common in the US. Both mean the branded structure on your allocated floor space.

How much does an exhibition stand cost?

From about $2,500 for a pop-up display on a 3m x 3m space to $25,000 and up for a custom island stand, and more for a double-decker. Our exhibition stand cost guide breaks the ranges down by size.

Are you exhibition stand contractors or designers?

Both. We design, build, freight, install and remove the stand, and lodge plans with the organiser. Fabrication happens in our own Ingleburn workshop rather than being subcontracted.
