These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website and to all exhibition stands, displays, fit-outs, hire items and related services supplied by Brij & Co. (ABN 12 680 205 814) (“Brij & Co”, “we”, “us”, “our”) to you (“the Client”, “you”).

By using this website, accepting a quote or paying a deposit, you agree to these terms. If your quote or a signed agreement includes different terms, those specific terms apply to that project.

1. Definitions

  • Project: the design, fabrication, supply, delivery, installation, dismantling, hire or storage work described in your quote.
  • Quote: our written quotation or proposal for the Project, including any attached design, specification or payment schedule.
  • Event: the trade show, exhibition, conference or activation where the stand or display will be used.
  • Hire Items: furniture, AV, lighting, display and other items we supply on a hire basis and which remain our property.

2. Quotes and acceptance

  • Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise.
  • Quotes are based on the brief, stand size, venue and dates you give us. Changes to any of these may change the price and timeline.
  • A quote is accepted when you confirm acceptance in writing (including by email) and pay the deposit shown on the quote.
  • Unless stated otherwise, quotes do not include stand space, organiser or venue fees, electrical connections, rigging points, internet, cleaning, catering or freight outside the scope listed.

3. Design, approvals and intellectual property

  • Concepts, 3D renders, drawings and specifications we prepare remain our intellectual property. They may not be given to another builder or used to build the design elsewhere without our written consent.
  • Once the Project is paid in full, you may use the finished stand or display for its intended purpose.
  • You must approve final designs and artwork in writing before production. We are not responsible for errors in content you have approved, including spelling, colours, logos and dimensions.
  • You confirm that you hold the rights to all logos, images, text and other material you supply, and you indemnify us against claims arising from their use.
  • Colours on screen and on printed proofs may vary slightly from final printed materials and finishes.
  • Unless you ask us in writing not to, we may photograph completed work and use the photos in our portfolio and marketing.

4. Your responsibilities

  • Provide an accurate brief, stand plan and event information, including organiser manuals, venue rules and deadlines.
  • Supply artwork, brand assets and approvals by the dates we agree so we can meet production timelines.
  • Book your stand space and any services the organiser requires you to order directly, such as power, rigging and internet.
  • Make sure your stand design and any products or activities on the stand comply with the organiser's and venue's rules.

5. Pricing and payment

  • Prices are in Australian dollars. The quote states whether prices include GST.
  • A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the quoted project price is payable on acceptance (see our Refund & Cancellation Policy). Progress payments and the final balance are payable as set out in your quote. Unless agreed otherwise, the full balance must be paid before bump-in.
  • We may pause work, withhold delivery or delay installation while any invoice is overdue.
  • Overdue amounts may incur reasonable recovery costs.
  • Ownership of fabricated items passes to you only when the Project is paid in full. Hire Items always remain our property.

6. Changes and variations

Changes requested after design approval or once production has started, including changes to size, layout, finishes, graphics or quantities, may incur extra costs and affect timelines. We will confirm the cost and timing of any variation in writing before carrying it out.

7. Timelines and delays

We work to meet the timelines agreed for your Event. We are not responsible for delays caused by late information, artwork or approvals, changes you request, changes by event organisers or venues, or events beyond our reasonable control. These include extreme weather, freight or supply disruptions, industrial action, public health orders and other force majeure events.

8. Delivery, installation and dismantling

  • Bump-in and bump-out take place within the access times set by the organiser and venue.
  • You or your representative should attend the handover of the stand so any issues can be raised and fixed on site before the Event opens.
  • You are responsible for the stand, its contents and any Hire Items from handover until bump-out, including against theft and damage during the Event.
  • Items left on the stand after bump-out may be disposed of or stored at your cost.

9. Hire items and storage

  • Hire Items must be kept in good condition and returned at the end of the hire period in the same condition, fair wear and tear excepted.
  • Loss of, or damage to, Hire Items (including from adhesives, screws or paint) will be charged at repair or replacement cost.
  • Where we store stand components between events, storage is charged as quoted. We take reasonable care of stored items, but you should insure them for their full value.

10. Safety and compliance

We build to Australian work health and safety requirements and to the organiser's and venue's rules. Some structures, such as double-decker stands, need structural certification and venue approval, which we will advise on. You must not alter the structure, electrical fittings or rigging of the stand without our consent.

11. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or other laws that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, and except for the guarantees referred to in section 11:

  • our total liability for any claim relating to a Project is limited to the amount you paid us for that Project, or to re-supplying the goods or services (or paying the cost of doing so);
  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of sales, profit, leads or opportunity at an Event.

13. Cancellation

Cancellations and refunds are dealt with under our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
