Australian Manufacturing Week Exhibition Stands
Australian Manufacturing Week (AMW) 2027 runs from 11 to 14 May in Melbourne. Run by AMTIL, it is the country's main show for machine tools, automation, robotics, welding and additive manufacturing. Brij & Co designs and builds stands for equipment makers and distributors, and has built trade show stands for machinery companies including Bystronic and Jet Technologies.

What is on show at AMW
AMW is organised into zones: Machine Tools, Additive Manufacturing, the Australian Manufacturer's Pavilion, Manufacturing Solutions, Robotics and Automation, and Weld and Air Solutions. Visitors are production managers, engineers, owners of fabrication shops and procurement teams who come to see machines cut, bend, print and weld.
The 2027 show is in Melbourne. We support Melbourne builds from our production facility there, and AMW editions held in Sydney from our Ingleburn workshop.

What a machinery stand has to get right
Loads and access. A laser cutter or press brake can weigh several tonnes and arrive on a crane truck. We plan the build sequence with your logistics team so the machine is placed first and the stand is built around it, with removable sections where the machine has to leave at the end.
Power and air. Three-phase power, compressed air and extraction need to reach each machine. We plan the service runs before ordering from the venue and hide them under raised flooring or behind panels.
A safe demo zone. Robots and laser cells need guarding and a clear exclusion zone. Visitors should be able to watch the whole process from behind the line, with screens showing a close-up of the cut or weld.
A quiet corner. Machine sales are rarely closed in one visit, but they start on the stand. A small meeting room with a screen for quoting software or production data helps.
Formats we build for AMW
Island stands
Open on four sides for big machinery, with a central meeting room or storage core.
Distributor stands
Several brands on one stand, each with a clear zone and its own branding, under one overall look.
Pavilion stands
Small booths in a shared pavilion with consistent graphics and shared meeting space.
AMW Melbourne: planning for a four-day manufacturing expo
Australian Manufacturing Week is the manufacturing expo for machine tools, automation and fabrication, and in 2027 it is in Melbourne. Four days is a long show for a machinery stand. The stand needs to look as good on Friday afternoon as on Tuesday morning, with somewhere to clean up swarf, restock consumables and keep the team fresh.
We support AMW Melbourne builds from our Melbourne production facility. Once the organiser releases the exhibitor manual, we check the hall, height limit and move-in times and plan the machinery placement with your logistics provider.
AMW stand costs
Typical stand ranges from our exhibition stand cost guide. Machine freight, cranage and power are extra.
| Stand | Typical range | Suits |
|---|---|---|
| Custom 3m x 3m | $5,000 to $15,000 | Tooling, software and consumables |
| Custom 3m x 6m | $10,000 to $25,000 | One compact machine or a robot cell |
| Island, 6m x 6m and up | From about $25,000 | Large machines, demo zones and a meeting room |
Ideas for a manufacturing trade show stand
Hand out the parts
A machine cutting or bending a small part that visitors can take away gets people waiting for the next cycle. Have the parts branded.
Floors that take punishment
Heavy machines, pallet jacks and four days of boots need a hard-wearing floor. We use raised or reinforced flooring that hides cables and spreads load.
Clear zone signage
Distributors with several brands do better when each machine has its own zone, name and spec board, so visitors can find what they came for.
Australian-made stories
Visitors to the Australian Manufacturer's Pavilion respond to local stories. Show where the part is made and who it is made for.

I could not recommend Brij and Co enough! We've worked with a few stand builders over the years, but Neil and the team are the best at what they do.
The stand was beautifully executed, effective, and delivered at a very reasonable price.
They perfectly brought our vision for the stand to life. Since upgrading from more basic setups, we’ve been noticeably busier at shows, with customers often lining up around the stand to engage with our products. As a start-up surrounded by much larger, more established brands, that kind of impact is incredibly valuable.
The team is also warm, friendly, and super helpful during the stressful bump-in process, which is also a huge plus.
We had such a great experience working with Brij & CO for our stand at the Sydney Hair Festival. The booth was beautifully executed, and the quality and attention to detail really stood out. Everyone loved it!!
Neil was always very responsive and easy to deal with, and Anna was incredibly supportive and helpful throughout the process. They also created oversized props for us, which turned out amazing and made a big impact at the event.
Looking forward to next year's expo!
Brij&Co have built our (Tilley Soaps) Gift Fair stands for several years now and always do a fantastic job. Professional, reliable, and great attention to detail. Thanks to Neil and the team, we highly recommended.
We had such a beautiful experience with Brij & Co. They could bring my vision to life. Organising those type of events can be stressful but they made the experience very pleasant and easy. I will definitely be using their services again BKT (Beauty Keeps Transforming) in our next hair and beauty expo. Thank you so much Anna and Neil.
Brijnco is hands down the best fair stand manufacturer we've worked with. We were impressed by their innovative designs and commitment to delivering exactly what we needed for our event. The team at Brijnco is not only creative but also highly responsive. They listened to all our requirements and ensured everything was perfect. If you need a stand that stands out, Brijnco is your go-to choice!
